Spectacular Heart of Wales Railway Line

The Heart of Wales Line is a spectacular rural railway between Swansea and Shrewsbury. The seven days/week train service is operated by Transport for Wales. Much loved by day trippers and walkers, the line also provides a vital transport link for lively rural communities and towns across Mid Wales and the Borders. Dolau station (just 2 miles away from Drovers Retreat - see top photo), has won many prizes for the best-kept station.

The nearest bus service (Llandrindod Wells to Hereford) is at Penybont (4 miles away),

Telephones & Wi-Fi

Many people will be visiting Drovers Retreat to escape the pressures of modern communication. Others may be consoled by the fact that we have 4G mobile from EE, and wi-fi in the property.

Vodaphone is not available, but 3 can be picked up in some places on the farm.
